How to Apply Press-Ons
PREPARATION
- Remove any old polish, dirt, or oils with polish remover.
- Gently file and shape your natural nails. It’s best that they are as short as possible.
- With the cuticle pusher, carefully push back your cuticles to ensure the press-ons sit flush against your nails.
- Lightly buff the nail surface to remove shine and create better adhesion.
- Wash and dry your hands to remove dust.
- Before application, wipe your nail with at least 70% alcohol
APPLICATION
Option 1: Nail glue
- After ensuring the press-ons fit, apply a small dot of nail glue to the back of the press-on nail and spread it evenly.
- Now, do the same on your nail; apply a small dot of nail glue to the nail bed, and spread it evenly.
- Starting at a 45-degree angle, align the press-on to the cuticle and press down onto your nail. Hold firmly for 10-15 seconds to secure.
- Repeat for your other fingers!
Option 2: Sticky tabs
- After ensuring the press-ons fit, select the sticky tab that matches your natural nail size.
- Peel off the sticky tab and place it on your natural nail, pressing down firmly and ensuring no air bubbles. Remove the protective film.
- Starting at a 45-degree angle, align the press-on to the base of the sticky tab.
- Press down onto the sticky tab while pushing towards the cuticle. The sticky tab should stretch across your natural nail bed. Hold firmly for 10-15 seconds to secure.
- Ensure the press-on feels snug. If not; remove the nail and the sticky tab, choose a bigger-sized sticky tab, and repeat the above steps.
- Repeat for your other fingers!
AFTERCARE
- Avoid water, oil, or lotion for at least 2 hours. (Tip: apply them before bed!) This prevents loosening of the adhesion.
- Wear gloves when doing dishes or cleaning.
- For removal, soak nails in warm, soapy water. Never apply force during the removal process as this can ruin your natural nails!
IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT use gel as glue for your press-on nails. The lamp will not be able to penetrate the press-on nails, and the gel will not fully cure. Uncured nail gel can cause skin allergies, irritation, or respiratory issues.
